Dagestan State Medical University accepts international student applications between May and August each year. Early application is advised to secure a seat, complete visa formalities, and reserve hostel accommodation. The university issues admission letters within 1–2 weeks of receiving a complete application. Once the admission letter is received, students can proceed to obtain the invitation letter and apply for a student visa. All processes should ideally be completed before the start of September to ensure a smooth arrival and enrollment.
The academic session begins in September, usually in the first week. International students are encouraged to apply early, ideally between May and July, to allow sufficient time for visa processing and documentation. Students are expected to arrive in Makhachkala before classes start to complete registration and settle into their hostels.
There is no entrance exam for international applicants (except NEET for Indian students, as per NMC regulations). Seats are limited, especially for foreign students, so early application is highly recommended.
